Bowed Screens

Bowed screen designs are growing in popularity

Bowed screens have all the clean lines of a single panel screen with the added convenience of not having to be moved to tend to the fire. They look great fronting an arched fireplace opening provided they allow the arch to peak out above the top of the screen. A bowed screen can be placed in front of an unvented or direct vent fireplace to help protect against a serious burn from casual contact with the hot glass that fronts these type fireplaces. See more examples of bowed screens in the “INSPIRATIONS” section and please use our “SCREEN MEASURING GUIDE” for a sure fit the first time.

    Traditional Colonial Spark Guard

    $0.00
This traditionally styled spark guard fits snugly against your fireplace's exterior to protect your floor from flying sparks. Large diameter steel rods welded to an extra kick plate provide rigid support that's strong and dependable. Twisted bar stock handles are securely bolted to the frame, not the mesh. Mesh is specially woven to ensure that edges are not exposed. It's a quality spark arrestor that you can count on to last. This screen is available in the size and finish noted but can be produced in short order in any size and in several alternate finishes. As a design hint: The addition of andirons in conjunction with this screen will greatly improve the overall appearance of your fireplace. Many examples of this concept are available in the “Inspirations” section of this website.
